We're looking for a Museum Data Migration Specialist to join our team and support our mission of transforming the GLAMP software industry.
About the role
Ready to make an impact in the cultural heritage sector? As a Museum Data Migration Specialist at Terentia, you'll help museums and cultural institutions transform their collections by migrating data from legacy systems into our cloud-native platform. You'll be hands-on with data mapping and modelling, and work closely with developers to ensure smooth migrations. Your expertise will be key to helping our clients bring their collections to life.
Job responsibilities
Review the client's legacy CMS data to determine the best migration path to Terentia
Assist in configuring Terentia’s collections management software
Collaborate with clients to understand data structures and migration needs
Develop data mapping and modelling strategies
Work with developers to define and test migration scripts
Conduct testing, data validation, and quality checks
Work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
Provide training and support to clients
Document migration procedures and best practices
What we’re looking for
Proven experience with data migration projects in the cultural heritage or museum sector
Strong understanding of database structures, data mapping, and ETL processes
Familiarity with SQL and data analysis
Knowledge of museum collections management and procedures
Familiarity with data modelling techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to changing priorities
